House for a cellist
Ground floor rear extension and general refurbishment of a Victorian terraced house within a Conservation Area.
A reflection on space continuity, compression and expansion. The triangle and the circle.
The triangle will incorporate all the service areas as well as the staircase. The circle will bring light to the middle of the house: pivoting point of the layout and practising spot for the musicians.
A fourth element, the square, will encapsulate the kitchen, at the front of the house.
